ACADEMICS OVERVIEW

Not every student learns the same way, and at Cleveland Central Catholic, we embrace opportunities to let our students shine. Our education creates scholars today and leaders for the future. Our courses range from students needing individualized instructional plans to those needing the challenges of our honors-level curricula. We offer a rigorous college preparatory curriculum as well as programs that train students for skilled technology. In order to graduate from Cleveland Central Catholic, a student must complete the state of Ohio requirements including at least 24 credit hours of study in the following areas:

  • Social Studies - 3 credits (World History 1/2 credit, US History 1/2 credit, Government/Economics 1 credit)

  • Fine Arts - 1 credit
  • Physical Education - .5 credits
  • Health - .5 credits
  • Financial Literacy -.5 credits
  • Electives - 3 credits
  • Second Language - 2 credits needed for college; 3 credits preferred

 

Students can also earn college credit and high school credit simultaneously through the College Credit Plus program. Qualifications for this program are listed in our Course Guide on the CCC website (under the Academics/Guidance link) as well as in the Counseling Office at CCC.
